Will Microsoft Office slow down my computer?

I am about to install Microsoft office I want to know if installing it with all those programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) will it really slow it down?? I have a Dell Dimension 2350 with Windows XP Pro with 640 MB of RAM and a 30 GB Hard Drive. Please Help Me!! Thanks in advance.

Nope only when running the programs will it have an impact on ram usage and evan than not much

Nope; it doesn't run in the background so your computer should stay snappy. I wouldn't have any other programs running when you have WOrd or watev open though because it might 'crash'. kind of a slower word processor.
