A 100 hp electric motor will consume about 1000 amps. So you will need a large set of solar panels, windmills, and batteries to produce that kind of power.
Solar panels are only efficient for 6 hours per day, only if there are no clouds, and don't work very well more than 45° from the equator. Windmills only work with the correct amount of wind. And batteries are terribly inefficient at storing electricity.
