ok, so i had a lot of adware on my computer, so i went ahead and formated my hard drive and reinstalled windows.
But when i log in I keep getting a message that says registry files corrupted go to winregistry.com to fix it
I dont understand how a virus could have remained since i even reformatted drive.
has anyone seen this before
any advice would help

I would do the following things:
1) Do a complete reformat and reinstall windows (that should solve a bad install problem)
2) Immediately install:
-ZoneAlarm (free)
-AVG AntiVirus (free)
-AdAware 2008 (free)
-CCleaner (free)
3) Set up firewall, run virus scan and adaware (just in case), then run CCleaner and run the issues scanner for the registry
4) If the problem keeps occuring, buy a new hard drive from newegg, they are extremely cheap these days

Well, random messages comes up with a new windows install occasionally, if you go to your network devices, under the security tab, turn on the security stuff there.
If you set up it for using a static IP or install updates, it may turn the security off, and then they might start again, just go in there, and then re-enable it again if that happens.
There are also things called cmos viruses and stuff too, usually, if u take the battery out of the computer while u boot up windows and while u restore, it wont be able to keep any viruses that may have somehow been forced into there.
however, those messages coming from a (Messenger Service) or so window its called is not a virus…
however, the sites and such it tells you to go to are out-dated and may well be viruses and such now, or some type of adware or other program that would annoy you a bit.
