I know this is a stupid question, but I just can’t get windows firewall to activate on start-up and when it is on, it won’t stay on for more than 20 minutes before shutting off. I’ve gone to properties, advanced settings, the services page, etc. I have my network set to public too. I’ve looked around all the options and can’t seem to find anything to help. Help? (won’t activate on computer start-up, and won’t stay on for long before shutting off on it’s own) Also, I have Avira firewall too, but i need windows firewall on to turn file sharing off. If anyone knows a way to keep file sharing off without turning on windows firewall that would be even better =)
Thanks

It may be detecting the Avira firewall (any firewall is better than the Windows firewall) and shutting down.
See this article for turning file sharing on & off:

Oh! That might be why mine is doing it? It stays on after I turn it on though.
