Is Windows Professional better of Vista Ultimate? How are they that different besides the taskbar and the sidebar? Windows still works good right? Say I got these:

the parts look fine, you’re obviously into gaming… if you want direct x10 you’re gonna have to get vista… i like vista, i think it runs smoother than xp…
that video card is pretty nice.. i’d recommend a 280 over it though…. get 4 gig of ram… 2 isnt really a lot anymore… and uhm make sure you have a power supply to handle a card like the 9800×2 if thats what you’re getting… nothing under 600 watts…i recommend corsair 750vx

well I would go for xp pro and give vista a wide birth it still as a load of problems with bugs and drivers..
better still have a look at linux it is more secure faster and FREE with all the software you will ever need,
goto youtube.com and in the search bar type in
linux vs vista .. linux vs XP and linux vs mac os/x
watch the video clips. you will be amazed at what you see… and what linux can do.. Vista and xp come no where near linux ability for 3D desktops
for the system you have there, if you have the 64×2 cpu then download the linux 64 bit version there are several top class 2009 versions of linux … if you want to know more get back to me
