Windows reports Symantec Endpoint Protection out of date?

When I try and install Symantec Endpoint Protection for my 64-bit Vista Windows keeps reporting that it is out of date, but when I install McAfee VirusScan Enterprise or McAfee VirusScan Plus it doesn't but I really like Symantec better. Any advice to fix this problem? Thanks in advance for your responses.
