I have a new laptop I bought a few months ago and I installed my old Sims 2 game on it. It installed fine but it won’t play. It loads okay, but whenever I try to play or create a family it completely freezes.
I thoroughly checked and my laptop meets and even exceeds the system requirements for the game. I know the game plays fine because I’ve played it on my desktop computer with no problems and it isn’t scratched up or anything.
I’m confused…why can’t I play Sims 2 on my laptop? I should be able to but I can’t and I hate it. I really want to play it. Any suggestions?

Yup mine does this for The Sims original. It’s Vista. You could try right clicking it and “Run as administrator” also you could look at the properties and see if you can change something there.
