For Christmas '07 i got a new computer. Its a windows vista, and when ive been on the computer for maybe an hour+ it screws up. Like, the icons wont work when i click on them, opening tabs on the net wont work, right-click will be disabled and when i go ctrl+alt+del to use task manager, i'll click on that option, but it'll go back to my desktop (with all my programs still up) and task manager wont come up!
It really sh!ts m3e up the wall, and i end up having to restart the computer with the actual button which cant be good for the computer =[
PLEASE.FOR THE LOVE OF GOD. HELP!
thanks in advance xx

Virus?
Overheating?
If it's a laptop keep it elevated and off your lap.

did your computer come with a restore cd? if so, i would recommend you use that.
BACKUP YOUR FILES FIRST!!!

that happens wen u got a lot of spyware on the computer. clean out the temporary files on internet explorer. do a virus scan and defrag the hardrive.

ok for me it seems that you havent cleaned up your pc, like removing virus, spy-ware, disk clean up. etc. computer maintaince is very important to keep your computer running smooth and trouble free. in this cituation i suggest you to restore the system to its original factory setting it will erase all the data and downlaods you had …. do not do system restore point. hope that helps cuase i done it with my computer once! and for the last 4 years with my computer i never had a problem again….good luck

If it happens after a certain amount of time reliably, it's very possible that it's overheating. Check the fans and make sure none of them have burned out.
