Hello. First off, I’m using my mom’s computer because my one-year-old Windows Vista laptop is “broken.” About half of the Services that usually run during startup say ‘Stopped’ in System Configuration. These services include Server by Microsoft Corporation, Workstation by Microsoft Corporation, and COM System Application by Microsoft Corporation. When I look at the basic information of my System, it says that Processor and Memory (RAM) info is ‘Not Available.’ I do not recall downloading any programs before this problem started. In my System Tray, it says ‘Audio Service is not running’ and for the icon that shows your internet connection status: ‘The service to detect this status is turned off’. I have spent well over 3 hours trying to find a working solution. I have tried going to System Configuration and pressing Normal Startup under the general tab, and pressing F8 when the computer starts up and doing Load Windows Normally.
Also, my mom lost the CDs that came with my laptop.
If you need any more info, please say so
Thank you in advance!!!!!!!!!
@ Really?!?: No, i do not get a message that these processes aren't working. Everything is enabled in the Services and Startup tabs of System Configuration ![]()
