windows vista upgrade install error?

I hate computer problems, but here it goes. yesterday i bought windows vista upgrade. currently on my pc i have xp, but when i try to run the cd for installing vista i get this error message.WINDOWS COULD NOT LOAD REQUIRED FILE WIN-SETUP.DLL. THE FILE MAYBE CORRUPTED TO INSTALL WINDOWS RESTART INSTALLATION ERROR CODE 0X45A. I have done some research on-line but it isn’t really clear how to skip this message and just install the thing. i Hope you guys and girls can help. thanks
