Windows XP Desktop Icons Gone Along With Blue Bar

So Basically Like A Month Ago Now My Desktop Icons And The Blue Bar Disappeared I’ve Been Able To Get My Internet Up By Going On Task Manager And Launching New Tasks But The Draw Back Is I Can Only Have One Program Running At 1 Time. So Obviously This Has Gotten Really Tedious And I’m Fed Up.
So If Anybody Has Some Suggestions About What I Could Do To Get My Desktop Back I Would Be Insanely Grateful And Would Choose Your Best Answer

Please HELP ME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =[

      Open your Task Manager > Choose New Task > Write “cmd” in the box >
      Press Enter > Type “explorer.exe” > Enjoy !
