Windows XP, how can I stop a program from opening up when I turn on my computer. ?

September 22nd, 2008 · 3 Comments

I tried checking off and or disabling this program when I do a MSConfig under run, however to be honest it’s not listed under startup in Msconfig. Sometimes when I open up Multimedia this program (Discover) turns on by it self. The program that I’m talking about is call Discover which is for games. Any help will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Uninstall and Reinstall the software but do not select - “launch application at windows start up”

Or, go to Start > All Programs > Startup

In case Discover is there, Delete it

Download ccelaner. In the Tools tab, under the startup you will see all the startups that your system loads. Click on disable or delete. Hope this helps you.

its a popup… when it appears you should be able to drop it ion the spam filter.

or goto your programme list (add / remove) and see if its listed there.
