I am trying to install windows XP on a computer. I went to the blue screen where it gave you the options to setup or repair, and I chose setup, accepted the agreement, I deleted my old partition and created a new one, then chose the ntfs, and it started to formatting the disk and then copying the files, then It would say it needed to reboot, it would reboot and then it would come back to the blue screen where it gave me the options to chose setup or repair. can anyone tell me whats going on?
when I dont have the disk in it will say , disk boot failure, instert system disk and press enter

You should take the installation CD out, maybe.
EDIT: Make sure no floppies or CDs in their respective drives.
Make sure hard drive is listed as one of the boot devices in BIOS.
Make sure hard drive is recognized when you start up or in BIOS. If not check cables.

i think if u done all part of formating u can just left the instruction after reboot, something like tell u to press any button to boot the cd, u try don’t press just left it skip and there will come out a lighter blue screen and there’s got five step u just do what the system tell u

Blue screen treatment, you can refer to
1 restart
2 new hardware detection of new services
3 Trojan virus detected
4 checks BIOS and hardware compatibility
5 run “sfc / scannow” system to check whether documents have been replaced, and then use the installation disk to restore the system
6 upgrade SP2 or SP3
7 motherboard refresh virus infection
8 BSOD were damaged, need to be replaced
