I have a Pentium 4 processor with hyperthreading and 1.5 GB of Ram and am currently runnin service pack 2 is it safe to download service pack 3 yet or is it still too risky because i know alot of my friends say its still too risky but soem say they have it and it works fine, but i dont feel like having to do a system restore because of this. Can someone tell me the truth about it and if it is safe or not. Thank You all
I know also that this is a prerelease software can anyone tell me whent he real deal is going to come out to the general public??

If you have windows xp or up , yes its safe but if your OS old then no.
I have it on my Pc and it works fine

Yes it is safe. I got Windows XP: Home Edition, and SP3 works great. Also, when you update your computer to SP3, your comp. gets faster…

After you download it, go to Windows Update, to update your system

If you are using the 32-bit version of Windows XP you will be fine. The 64-bit version should not download SP3.

SP3 is SP2 + all fixes since SP2 release.
You can find it on microsoft.com site. And it is safe to use. I installed in a virtual machine for some tests, and it works, as long as you says Windows is working.
OpenSource based OS are far better !
