ok so i am running windows xp, before service pack 1… this is because i had to bback up my computer for reasons m not going to go into depth with… fact is now i need to get sp1 because i cant install sp3 until i get 1 on it…. so go to windows update and it wont download because internets too slow… wat ever then.. i go trying to download it on my friends laptop from other places and somethings always wrong when i install…. i cant get to it in windows update from my friends laptop because its running vista… so i need some were that i can get a version of sp1 that will actuuklly work on my comp plz help…
i dont need to download xp i have it i need to update it mainly because itunes needs sp2

it`s no way you can download windows xp from internet for free,but if you really want you can do it from torrent but that`s illegal

As you know, SP3 is already out for a while, but you should install
SP2 not SP1 or SP3. SP1 is not supported by Microsoft anymore and not having sp2 will put your computer at risk. YOu can download it here

It is a large file and depending on your internet speed, can it take up a couple of hours. When you have broadban, it might take 20 minutes

ok to the update site go to start then right click on my computer then clcik windows update tab the site link is there click it you well need ie then you well also need a genuine copy of windows then it well search for updates you may need to instal some active x thing for it to search then it well give you to options express or custom click express it well search for high priority updates then when done it should show windows xp sp3 it is like 60 some mbès i have a slow connection to i took me like 6 hours but i downloaded the progress bar many not show its downloading but it is so get sp3
