I was having some problems with getting a message saying “Signal Out of Range” on my monitor, but I think I have fixed that by replacing the video card. That’s no longer a problem.
Now, when I boot it up, it goes to the loading Windows XP screen, then for a split second, I get the Fatal Error ‘blue screen of death’, then right away the screen goes black. It’s not that the video stops, because the power light on the monitor stays green. I sense that this is a software problem.
Would reinstalling Windows solve this problem? Or is there something else I should try because I’m out of ideas.

I think its the power supply not giving the right voltages
why not try to replace the power supply and see
also open the casing and see inside if all the connectors are OK.
does the green led on the tower casing light up? does the red led flicker?(shows hard disk is working)

if you got your installation cd , just put it in and let it boot from the cd with the recovery process
but I thinking your hard drive is fried
