Winmm.dll problem…?

September 15th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit edition and every time it boots, Vista tells me (with one of those generic error messages) that Windows Media Network Sharing doesn’t work. I’ve found the root of the problem to be “winmm.dll” through Google, but I haven’t found a good copy that’s compatible with MY copy of Vista of it anywhere. Dll-files.com’s dll doesn’t work, dlldump.com doesn’t either. I have weeded through more than 20 different winmm.dll files on the internet to no avail.

System Restore is an option, but I’d rather try and get a good copy of winmm.dll that’s compatible with my copy of Windows Vista from one of you friendly users out there because I don’t want to reinstall about 17 programs. If someone would be so kind to upload their winmm.dll for me I would be very thankful.
