i found this program on my desktop…and i didnt download it, i looked into the add/remove programs but couldnt find it. the problem is i am not able to remove it. its in the programs menu and there is 'uninstall' icon, when i press it, it says ' antivirus 2008 uninstalled successfully' but the prb it comes bak again in the toolbar by itself!!!! i ran virus scan…but it says everything is clean! help plz…..

It will remain to keep popping up eventhough it says it has been uninstalled successfully. What you can do is go into your C: Drive then click on Program Files and find the Folder Titled Antivirus 2008 and delete it manually. Once that is done, you will need to go to your startup system files Go to Start (lower left corner)
Click on Run
Type in msconfig
Hit Enter
This will show you all of the programs that start up when you turn on your computer. find Antivirus 2008 and remove it. You can also remove anything else that you think is not needed to startup with your system.

Malware/Spyware.
I used Spybot to remove it.
