Wow!!! Just read…the price of gasoline was a national avg. $1.30 a gallon on Jan. 2001. Is that true?
man o man. over a 200% increase in those 7 plus years.
and our economy has pretty much tanked since that time too….as well as our financial soundness fiscally as a country.
well. The choice should be clear who to elect as president, right?
McCain 2008 everyone??

Back in the ’60’s you could get it for 30 cents a gallon.
You also didn’t have to take out a loan to go to the theater and catch a movie.

Sounds like you just woke up - yes the country is truly going to hell thanks to the policies of Dick & W - also think W will have to find him self another wife when he leaves office - every one knows what happened to Edwards.

Yep–that Bush did such a great job with the economy, didn’t he? Wouldn’t we all be thrilled to have $1.30/gallon gas now?

January 2001 was about the same time that Bush proposed drilling in ANWR. If the environmentalists had not blocked this proposal then we would be enjoying low gas prices today.
Drill here Drill now.

It was closer to $1.40 and is now $3.75. A 270% increase in 7 years.
Economy is actually stronger now than in 2001 but is down from our peak in 2006.

No, that’s not true.

$10.13 per gallon - that will be the price of gas at the end of McCain’s term if he’s elected and if his administration continues to allow the same increases that the Bush administration has allowed (assuming McCain lives through his term of course)
