No matter what I try to do to Yahoo Messenger, it freezes.
I try to open it, it shows it on the task manager but nowhere else. I try to uninstall it on control panel, and it shows the uninstall bar but it doesn't move, and I have to shut it down with task manager. I tried going to yahoo.com to install messenger, and it said it did, but nothing changed.
Any idea what might be wrong? How to fix it?

You might want to try updating it. Or you might have some spyware. If you do have spyware you need to get an anti-spyware

Click Start, then Control Panel, now scroll up to "Add and remove Programs" click there and look for Yahoo Messenger, now click "Remove".
That just uninstalled you Messenger, now go download one from http://oldversion.com/ choose Yahoo Messenger Version 8.1, NOT Version 9, because it's a piece of junk.
Now you'll have an enjoyable Messenger experience.
By the way, this time make sure you "RUN" your download, not save it, which is what I think you may have done.
If so, click Start, ALL Programs and look for Messenger there, then Run it from there.
