My Mcafee program found a virus and it said to restart your comp and it the virus shows up again in the scan to send the report to spyware_restart@avertlabs.com in a .Zip file.
So, my question is what’s a zip file and how would I go about sending the virus information with a zip file?
Do I have to buy it? Is it an email?? Regular mail?? I’m so confused!
Sorry if I put in the wrong section

A zip file is a compressed folder. Just select all the files you want to send and right click. In the menu that appears, choose Send To-> Compressed folder. Windows will make a .zip folder for you (it’s better to use this because it makes the files smaller and easier to send. Zip is an open format, so you don’t need to pay for it. You could also use http://www.7zip.org but that’s not needed here.

A ZIP file is just a type of archive. You can create a ZIP archive with any number of free utilities, such as 7-Zip, if you happen to use Windows: http://7-zip.org
Then just attach the Zip archive to the email message. Whether you’ll get a helpful response back from the company or not is another matter though…

Zip files are compressed archives of files. You can download Winzip, or you can search for Zip programs yourself. Winzip is widely used on most computers as it opens most compressed file formats.
Most anti-virus vendors require you to send them the Zip file with it password protected, usually with the password being "infected". This is what the "Encryption" option in Winzip does.
Question. It states IF the virus shows up again…did it actually show up again? Or was it removed from your computer?
